Strawberry Cottage Cheese Tart

Sweet Cravings, Solved🍓

When you are on a GLP-1 journey or working towards weight loss, a sweet tooth doesn’t just pack up and disappear. The problem is that traditional South African fridge tarts are loaded with condensed milk, heavy whipped cream, and mountains of butter – a combination that sits like a brick in a slow-emptying stomach, often triggering severe nausea or reflux.

This No-Bake Strawberry Cottage Cheese Tart is our high-protein, light-on-the-stomach makeover of a classic tea-time favourite!

By blending Lancewood Strawberry Medium Fat Smooth Cottage Cheese with thick Clover Authentikos Strawberry Greek-Style Yoghurt, we eliminate the need for rich cream while creating a silky mousse that delivers nearly 15g of muscle-protecting protein per slice. Lightly sweetened with calorie-free powdered erythritol and brightened with fresh lemon juice, this no-bake stunner uses classic Bakers Tennis Biscuits for nostalgic coconut flavour without calorie overload.

It’s refreshing, cool, easy to prep on a weeknight, and family-approved – nobody will ever guess this pink showstopper is packed with cottage cheese!

Why You’ll Love This
  • The Biscuit Swap: Using only ⅓ of a packet of Tennis biscuits keeps the base light while providing that nostalgic coconut-butter crunch, keeping carbs far lower than traditional fridge tarts.
    • Protein Boost: Over 52g of protein across the whole tart without using any protein powder – coming naturally from the cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, and gelatine.
  • Keto Swap Tip: To make this strict Keto, swap the Tennis biscuit base for an almond-flour & butter press-in crust (or skip the base entirely for a crustless fridge mousse tart)!
